QUEEN CREEK, AZ – Pecan Lake Entertainment celebrated the opening of phase one of the entertainment park on Tuesday, January 30th. In attendance included the Queen Creek Chamber of Commerce, local business owners, Queen Creek Mayor Julia Wheatley, Queen Creek Vice Mayor Leah Martineau, Town Council Members Robin Benning, Jeff Brown, Bryan McClure, and Travis Padilla, and Pecan Lake Entertainment co-owners Jason Check and Tim Campbell, staff, and family and friends. Pecan Lake Entertainment is located at 25004 S 206th St, Queen Creek, AZ 85142, next to Horseshoe Park and Equestrian Centre and FatCats.
Pecan Lake Entertainment is a family friendly entertainment center with indoor and outdoor activities. Phase one included a three-story ropes course, VR, axe throwing, escape rooms, and an 18-hole mini golf course. Also open at the entertainment park is the 3-arce Queen Creek Botanical Gardens, a botanical garden where all the plants are edible and featuring the only fully operational industrial-age water mill in the American Southwest.
“Thank you to all the friends and family who came out to support us. It hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it. So many people played a big part in this project.” Said co-owner Jason Check. “The project isn’t complete yet; we still have two other buildings to complete. The pit house will have electric go-karts, Your Pie Pizza Restaurant and arcade, and the surf building which will have a burger joint and surf rider machine. Hopefully this will be a place where everyone in the community can come, be outside, and just be themselves!”
